1 Charging Standards

New Medicine is an open-access (OA) journal. After the manuscript is accepted, the author will be appropriately charged with the "paper publishing service fee". If the manuscript is rejected, no fee will be charged.

(1)   Charging standard:

The journal does not charge for submission, review, or fast processing fee. From 2026 onwards, a publication service fee of RMB 5,000 per article will be charged upon acceptance of each manuscript.

(2)   The criteria for waiving publication fees are as follows:

①  The journal waives publication service fees for specially commissioned articles.

②  Manuscripts funded by national-level projects shall be exempt from 40% of the publication service fee upon acceptance;

③  Individuals honoured as "Outstanding Reviewers" for the 2024 or 2025 editions of New Medicine, along with first authors of "Outstanding Papers" for the 2025 edition, shall receive a 40% reduction in publication service fees for one manuscript submitted in 2026 as first or corresponding author, subject to acceptance.

Supplementary notes are provided below:

National-level projects specifically refer to the following four categories: The National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Fund of China, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and the National Science and Technology Major Projects. Authors are requested to upload relevant supporting documentation upon submission for editorial verification. Eligibility requires fulfilment of the following conditions: The author(s) of the manuscript must be a member of the project research team; The manuscript content must align substantially with the project's research focus; The project approval date must fall between 2021 and 2026.

2 Charging Process

(1) Submission through our official website（https://yxxz.whuznhmedj.com/）；

(2) After successful submission, the manuscript will enter the review process;

(3) After the manuscript is accepted, charging issue will be informed via the submission and review system email(mc@jnewmed.com) ;

(4) After receiving the publishing service fee, the article will be scheduled for publication.

3 Charging Information

The publishing service fee should be remitted to the following designated account:

4 Attention

(1) When remitting, please be sure to note the "manuscript number" in the postscript;

(2) After remittance, please be sure to send the following information to the submission and review system email address (mc@jnewmed.com) by email for us to register and verify:

①Proof of remittance (screenshot or photo of mobile phone);

②Manuscript number and Title of the manuscript;

③Name, affiliation and contact phone number of the first author and/or corresponding author;

④Issue publishing service fee invoicing details (if you need an invoice, please provide information such as invoice title, taxpayer identification number, etc.).

The editorial office will issue an electronic invoice and send it to the author by email within 7 working days after receiving the remittance and verifying that the information is correct. Those who fail to pay the fee within the time limit will be deemed to have given up the manuscript publication automatically.

5 Remuneration

From January 1, 2024, except for special invited manuscripts, no remuneration will be given for all manuscripts. After the article is published on the official website of the journal, the author can download and obtain a cover, table of content and PDF version of the article for free.
