New Medicine is an open access journal, and articles published in the journal since 2020 can be permanently available for readers to read and download for free through the journal's official website (https://yxxz.whuznhmedj.com/).
Articles published before the transition to full open access (i.e., articles published before 2020) are non-open access works, and their copyright belongs to the editorial department of New Medicine.
Licensing Policy
New Medicine uses Creative Commons’ BY-NC-SA 4.0 license to allow third-party users to reproduce and distribute the journal's open access articles (i.e., articles published since 2020) in any medium and in any form. The conditions to be followed are that when you freely share (i.e., reproduce, distribute the original text in any form and in any medium), interpret (i.e., modify, transform, or create based on the original text) published in this journal, you must give an appropriate attribution, provide a link to this license, and indicate whether the original article has been modified. You may attribute, in any reasonable manner, but in any way imply that the licensor endorses you or your use, and you may not use the work for commercial purposes. If the article of this journal is mixed, converted, or based on the article, the modified article cannot be disseminated. Copyright Policy
After the manuscript is accepted, all authors need to sign the "Copyright Transfer Agreement" with New Medicine, and transfer the copyright of the article to the publishing unit of the journal (that is, the editorial department of New Medicine), and the copyright will belong to the editorial department of New Medicine. After the publication of the article, the author has the following rights:
(1) The author has the right to copy, disseminate and use his article (such as non-commercial academic seminars, exchanges, academic reports, lectures, etc.) in accordance with the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license;
(2) The author may also use the article for other activities permitted and authorized by the editorial department.
Article Online Access and Repository Policy
In addition to the official website of the journal, published articles of the journal are stored in full-text data on CNKI, WanFang Data, VIP, Chaoxing and so on, and readers can access the above databases or platforms online. All articles and other related documents/data of the journal are archived in the editorial office, and the versions of the articles at different stages (including initial submission, revision, acceptance, and printing) are recorded in the editorial office's editorial system and can be queried and downloaded at any time. At the same time, the journal also sends each paper issue to the National Library of China and the China Archives of Publications.
Data Sharing
The journal encourages authors to publish and share research data where appropriate. Data sharing facilitates the repeated validation of scientific experiments and the reuse of research data. Data that can be shared generally include raw data, observation records, and experimental results. The journal also encourages authors to share research-related softwares, codes, models, algorithms, protocols, methods and other useful materials. Authors may upload the above materials to accessible third-party storage platforms, and place the link at the end of the article.
