Hemangioma is a benign tumor formed by abnormal proliferation of vascular endothelial cells. Hemangiomas with a diameter greater than 10 cm are defined as giant hemangiomas, with an incidence rate of about 0.40%. Once trauma or spontaneous rupture occurs, it can lead to massive bleeding. This article retrospectively reports a case of a patient with a huge upper limb hemangioma accompanied by elevated D-dimer levels. After periodic perioperative nursing model, the patient was successfully discharged. During the follow-up period, the affected limb exhibited good function and no symptoms related to thrombosis, suggesting that periodic perioperative nursing model has strong clinical applicability.
