Objective  To systematically evaluate the application efficacy of multidisciplinary team (MDT) nursing compared with conventional nursing in postoperative patients with colorectal cancer (CRC).

Methods  PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, WanFang Data, and VIP Database were electronically searched to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the nursing efficacy of MDT nursing and conventional nursing in postoperative patients with CRC. The search period was from the inception to November 1, 2024. Two researchers independently conducted literature screening, data extraction, and bias risk assessment of the included studies. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software.

Results  A total of 19 RCTs involving 1,612 patients were finally included. The results of Meta-analysis showed that, compared with the conventional nursing group, patients in the MDT group exhibited increased satisfaction with care and self-care capability scores, alongside reduced depression and anxiety scores. Perioperative indicators, including time to ambulation, length of hospital stay, duration of intraoperative haemorrhage, wound healing time, and time to first flatus, were all shortened, with a concurrent decrease in complication rates. All differences were statistically significant.

Conclusion  The implementation of MDT collaborative nursing intervention in postoperative patients with CRC can effectively improve patients' negative emotions, enhance nursing satisfaction, reduce the incidence of complications, and play a role in optimizing perioperative indicators, demonstrating significant clinical promotion value.
