Abstract

Objective  To understand the research status and hot topics in the reform of teaching in preventive medicine courses and provide references for researchers in this field.

Method  The Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Web of Science (WOS) core databases were selected. CiteSpace 6.1.R6 visualization analysis software was used to draw maps and analyze the data.

Results  3,410 relevant articles were included,  2,940 of which were included in the CNKI database, and 470 relevant articles were included in the WOS core database. The analysis showed that the distribution of authors was relatively dispersed, and there was less collaboration. The main publishing institutions were public health schools of higher education institutions. The institution with the highest number of publications in China was the School of Public Health, Capital Medical University, and the institution with the highest number of publications overseas was the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of United States. The teaching practice and experiment, teaching methods and their effect evaluation of preventive medicine courses are current research hotspots.

Conclusion  The current research perspective of the teaching reform of preventive medicine courses is single and in a poor quality, it is necessary to further strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and exchange to provide the basis for high-quality research.
