Abstract

The generation of evidence and the formation of recommendation opinions are key links in the development of evidence-based social care guidelines. They are also important bases for ensuring the scientific nature of decisions and practices in the social sciences. This process involves relatively complicated and cumbersome methods and steps, and requires consideration of many factors. However, there are currently no complete and rigorous methodological guidelines to guide the process from evidence to recommendation opinions, posing certain challenges to the development and promotion of evidence-based social care guidelines. To make this process more systematic and transparent, this article elaborates on two aspects of content: First, based on the Evidence-Based Social Care Guidelines Development Manual published by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence(NICE), it summarizes and combs through the process and methods of evidence generation and recommendation formation, and elaborate on them combined with case studies. Second, after consulting relevant research materials, it explores and reflects on the important factors that need to be considered in the process of transforming evidence into recommendation opinions. The goal is to clarify the methods of evidence generation in evidence-based social care guidelines, and make clear the process of forming guideline recommendation opinions, in order to promote the research, development and application of evidence-based social care guidelines, and ensure the scientific nature and effectiveness of evidence-based practices.
